Territories and Quotas
Territories
Territories, in Microsoft CRM, serve as regional container for users. Once a territory is created, one manager and multiple users can be assigned to it. The members that belong to one territory cannot be assigned to another. Territory management can be used, for example, when creating a new lead. A workflow can be set up to automatically assign the lead to a territory. It is then up to the manager to assign the lead to a salesperson.
Quotas
Microsoft Dynamics CRM enables quota assignment to each salesperson user based on fiscal periods set in the Fiscal Year settings.
